How can BI analyses be integrated directly into the SAP CRM system? This question was the core of the newly introduced campaign management of MAN Truck & Bus AG. This information was to be used for comprehensive and smooth customer segmentation in marketing. A further goal was to adapt the optimization of data extraction and BI analyses for targeted use in CRM.

Steps and Highlights

 

After a joint process and system analysis, the first step was to create a functional and technical concept. Secondly, Vision11 redesigned the existing BI analyses and reports. Overall, the analyses had to be rebuilt so that they could be integrated into the SAP CRM data model. All defined analyses and queries were integrated into the SAP CRM system as data sources. The CRM processes, customer segmentation and campaign management were then adapted and optimized by Vision11. Vision11 supported MAN Truck & Bus AG with cut-over management and go-live support and conducted comprehensive key-user training for the newly set up processes.

 

Added value

 

By successfully integrating BI analyses into the CRM processes of customer segmentation and campaign management, employees in marketing and sales can analyze, select and address their target groups faster and more specifically. Previously existing system and process disruptions have been eliminated so that the user can carry out all necessary analyses and segmentations exclusively in one system. In addition, all relevant BI analyses on value creation, customer sales, forecasts, sales figures, activities, etc. are available to those responsible in the department in a user-friendly, web-based interface directly in the CRM system.
